WHO WE ARE
Read For Kids Donate To Kids is a 501(c)(3) organization that focuses on improving the educational sector of underserved areas in Ghana, West Africa. Established in 2007, Read For Kids Donate To Kids is a non-profit organization that focuses on improving the educational sector of underserved areas in Ghana, West Africa. We believe it is imperative to ensure that children receive sufficient educational materials to nourish their learning experience.
We were founded on principles rooted in sound learning as the product of Ghanaian immigrant Genevieve Kufuor's vision to give back to her native home. Growing up in a home that placed a high value on education, Kufuor understood the significance of receiving a proper education. Although Kufuor was fortunate enough to be educated at Achimota School and Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, she recognizes the lack of educational standards in developing areas of Ghana.
Read For Kids Donate To Kids was founded by Kufuor and her friends in Las Vegas, where we began our mission with small-scale book drives at her children's private schools.
OUR GOALS ARE SIMPLE.
1. Supply schools with state-of-the-art educational materials (e.g. text books and technology)
2. Encourage partnerships between the public and private sector to improve the learning experience.
3. Improve school infrastructure to increase productivity in educational institutions
